"You can say anything you want""Muthafucka".  This time getting hold of him as he jetted of to Amsterdam was slightly more nerve wrecking. I was following his progress on Twitter and then gaging his level of highness via Ustream as he was chatting with his fans from his hotel. while reporting back to Rebecca. It turned out to be her most fun phone interview ever. Big Ups!

Haters are gonna hate... When we went to Pomona to film and interview Lil B the Based God The Pack's DJ showed me this video. It's shot during a show in Santa Barbara. The crowd is wild and I like that they use real live footage for a pretty slick result. The tune is catchy, Shout out to LIl B as well for doing his thang, that dude is a real rock star. He had a little Elvis thing going last time we saw him,

Peep Young Versis' 1st music video (directed by Jerome D) for his debut LP, iLLCANDESCENT. Val has put us up on some of his tracks earlier on and the full album is for sale.. It's worth spending a minute to check out Versis debuts given the amount of effort he puts into the finishing of his work. He has a show opening up for Jay Electronica at the Key Club on Sep 9th. Holler at him if you're going.

First video from the show at The Roxy on Sat. Introducing young Kendrick Lamar from Compton. This song stayed stuck in my head for a day "P& P" stands for... well why don't you figure it out. I hear some of the hip hop veterans stayed with a stone face during that song (check Rebecca Haithcoat's tweets) It could be just an interpretation.... I like its humurous side, I see his point AND the verses are dope.

Skeme, another local artist from Inglewood,Ca. - I think skeme is one of thee hardest working artist that I can think of, releasing mixtape, after mixtape, after mixtape along with random freestyles every other week. Believe me when I say, He's a true studio junkie when it comes to recording. With two more projects coming this year, he released a few freestyles on his blog for his next project "Serial Killer" .  (photos coming soon)
