• The making of LA Stereo
( )

Yes I love those making-of-pictures and we have tons. This one was taken by Perfecto at clothing store Regal Tenant. This is actually the second we post of Devi Dev whom we interviewed over a year ago about the L.A. scene (video)

Today was one of our last interviews for the special feature we have coming up in January #TheRevolutionWillBeTweeted on the changes in the music industry and how hip hop artists are using the internet, social media in particular, to further their cause, reach out to their fan base, distribute their music, etc. Featuring in it are: Wiz Khalifa, Blu, Talib Kweli, Lil B, Yelawolf, Pac Div, Tanya Morgan, Skyzoo, DJ Jab, Foreign Exchange, Devi Dev, A-Trak, Dibia$e, Black Milk and many others... You may have caught snippets here and there with some of the videos that we posted online.

Make sure to carry on checking out for us to find out more about it, and we look forward to your feedback and comments.

We are proud to present Vann Clayton in our first webisode featuring a producer. He's behind many of the Spliff alumni's hits and we used his beat "Get Large" for our intro directed by Phil Davis. I've been a fan since. You can usually catch him at the bi-monthly BANANAS event organized by VerBS where he's produces mean beats live.
Vann talks us through some of his collaborations with H.O.P.E, Kail, VerBS and CP. He also tells us about his relationship with acclaimed producer Warryn Cambell and his school years with Nipsey Hussle.
A big shout out to Stephanie Rennie who did a great job editing the webisode.

It's been a while since we uploaded some new webisodes. There's a few more coming up down the line. This is kinda special... it's the first EVA interview we shot. Shout out to everyone who helped us.
Intuition is dropping his new album "Girls Like Me" in a week, his album release party is on Wednesday at Low End Theory. GO!
We were told at last Spliff that VerBS & Intuition were making new material for their fruitful collab.
You can always check them out here for VerBS and here for Intuition. Go download The Buzz, one of the best projects to come out of 2009.

Word to the Prez
Posted by Brass P on Dec 25, 2009
El Prez2009 has been an amazing year, musically speaking. So many great discoveries. From Pac Div (I know I'm super tardy) to Diz Gibran to the gentlemen above, LA has won my heart all over again. A few weeks ago I had the distinct pleasure to witness what I'm going to call history in the making. While I had been hearing the name "El Prez" for a while, I was still unfamiliar with his music. I was put onto some serious game when M Boogie invited me to shoot a quick show rehearsal of his a few Friday's ago.

The rehearsal space was cramped. Instruments and equipment were strewn all over the place, yet with the help of DJ Printz Paul, DNez and Chris Focus, El Prez still put on a helluva show. Needless to say I'm now a fan. You can check out more flicks from the rehearsal here. Animal Style coming soon.

This was Saturday. Shout out to the Pac Div team for having us. The proceedings of the charity X Mas party all went to the children. You can see here more photos of the event.
Yep so the interview should come out soon, we were chuffed to be able to do it. Got some great footage of the West Coast champions performing as well.
