Miguel's "All I want is you" Ft J. Cole took everyone by surprise and is one of the most endearing songs of the year. It still haunts me "even after radio's best effort to kill it" (dixit Rebecca). Luckily as result, Jive Records to whom Miguel has been signed since 2007 got the message and on the back of its success has just released Miguel's debut album "All I want is you". Miguel is still on the OMG tour with Trey Song and Usher, but most of us here know him through his multiple collaborations with all the dope West coast artists: U-N-I, Blu, Exile, etc. Miguel is celebrating the release of his album tonight at the Viper Room RSVP here. Go cop the album as well, it's important to support this home grown artist on his stellar rise.

We interviewed Aloe a little while back (check it here) while he was performing at the B52's in Downtown L.A. with his band The Big Scheme. Our homie producer Kevin Roosevelt was on board for the night on the drums. Aloe closed his set with his hit song "I Need A Dollar" : even though he performed that song live on illustrious BBC show with Jools Holland ( see Paul McCartney and other Black Sabbath? guy watching him) it wasn't quite that nice long jam session we were able to capture. Shoutout to NAHRIGHT for posting the video before we even did!

Here's a remix of Bilal's "Think It Over," by Exile brought by VTech & Plug Research. "Exile manages to update the track's original throw-back feel (produced by 88-Keys) with added kick-drums, chants, haunting echoes, and resonating baselines, while still capturing the overall essence of the original version. "
Check it out
