Fresh from the Internet SLNGBNGrs a track produced by maverick producer Diabia$e , a fixture on the Low End Theory beat scene as well as Red Bull Beat Battle champion. Whether this track will be on Blu's upcoming album No York remains to be seen, but it's certainly an indication of the new kind of sound one can expect.

Here's a remix of Bilal's "Think It Over," by Exile brought by VTech & Plug Research. "Exile manages to update the track's original throw-back feel (produced by 88-Keys) with added kick-drums, chants, haunting echoes, and resonating baselines, while still capturing the overall essence of the original version. "

Above a vid of Exile doing his thing at Boombox. I have tons of jewels like that that I should be posting. A big shout out to Exile and Bilal, two LA Stereo favorites.
A few things have been happening recently on the Blu front, as he's taken back to Twitter, and his excitement for the new album is becoming palpable.
Here's a download: KEEPITGOING that he just dropped produced by Flying Lotus (one of the producers who features on the upcoming No York album) featuring U-God from the Wu-Tang Clan.
Blu will also be performing with Mainframe this Friday in Ventura for the opening of Verdell Wright's exhibition. Peep the flyer above and for more info visit the NewWorldColor website.
Also look out for the LA Stereo x BLU interview coming up soon.
Ever since we started featuring 19 year old Marz Lovejoy, she has been growing as an emcee: from her first photoshoot with Kasey, to her first performance with Pac Div with whom she's currently on tour. She's blooming under our eyes as an artist and it's wonderful. Here's a new track produced by LA based producer Polyester with whom she's dropping an EP later on. Enjoy, you're about to hear an already very distinctive voice.

Producer Dibiase was just featured in the LA Times with a bonus track "Lumberjack" from his upcoming album "Machines Hate Me" released on Alpha Pup. Dibiase is an all time favorite... watch out for more stuff including: free to download remixes of the tracks from various beatmakers friends around the globe.

Versis just released this track in an effort to promote his upcoming project, iLLCANDESCENT dropping 8/9/10. This track is real reminiscent of some vintage 9th Wonder productions. However, this track is produced by BMB aka Beat Maker Beat (All the way out in GERMANY). Versis flow is the perfect addition to the beat. His debut album is shaping up to be something people will remember for a long time...Check out the song- Here's the stream!
A few DJs have created De La Soul vs Tribe Called Quest mixtapes, and they are cool, but when I found out a lady hopped on the ones and twos to mix her own version, it just peaked my interest a little more.
DJ Shorty Wop, was inspired to create the mixtape after finding out T-shirt mogul, Johnny Cupcakes, loved De La Soul and Tribe Called Quest during his visit to Philadelphia while on his widly successful suitcase tour. She then went in the studio and meshed a few of the groups' best hits for Cute Cupcake Mixtape.
You can never go wrong with a little Soul or Tribe in your ears. Get a (down)load of it here.
It's here! Download the mixtape.
Kooley High: Charlie Smarts, Rapsody and Tab One. featuring production by K-Salaam & Beatnick and Napoleon Wright II and guest appearances by Median and HaLo.

Here's some new music for yall to get familiar with...Versis hit me up via Facebook and hipped me to a new joint he's pushing entitled, "The Journey (4U)". He linked up with Dibia$e for a very smooth & hypnotizing track. The sound is real reminiscent of Pharcyde records. There's something about Versis that makes me gravitates towards his music. Maybe its the fact that he spits from the soul, heart, & is completely honest in all that he does. Take a listen to this song to get a vibe for his upcoming project, "iLLCANDESCENT" that will be released on 8.9.10

Mustard is Tiron's newest project, and, in almost every way, is more refined and mature than the project that preceded it. Though his style still relishes a bit in an early Kanye West flavor, the production is almost Roots-esque. Each instrumental has an organic sound as though it were live recorded in a motown studio. Song to song the album is appealing but leaves something to be desired in the realm of delivery and rhyme scheme. Tiron counter balances any lack in polish with creative and witty themed songs such as "1ne", a song tied together by the repeated, unique use of the word one. And he still bears the mark of humility in his rap that continues on his every-man feel he had on Ketchup with sons like "60901", dedicated to his hometown, Chicago. Features are minimal at just 3: Ayomari on "Ms. Right" and Blu and Asher Roth on "The Richers." Though normally seeing the names Blu and Asher Roth would raise eyebrows as well as interest, their effect is marginal and somewhat underwhelming. Nonetheless, if you're interested in a project to let ride when you're trying to unwind, cool down, or even pacify you to sleep, Tiron's Mustard is just the thing to snack on.
An outstanding group that first formed on the message board of Okay Player. Another show you don't want to miss... and while you are at it listen to some good Foreign Exchange music.
